Stress and strain are absorbed by the body and over time can affect the tissues, and potentially the membranes of the craniosacral system. By releasing subtle restrictions in the connective tissue (fascia) surrounding organs, muscles, and bones, the craniosacral system can restore fluid balance.
Such releases can allow the body to relax and make self-corrections, thus reduce pain, stress, and promote the healing process.
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, light-touch modality that works with the whole body, supporting the central nervous system, by releasing tension and promoting relaxation.

Cerebrospinal fluid protects and cushions the brain (and spinal cord) from injury, assists with delivering nutrients and removing waste/toxins, and maintains chemical balance and intracranial pressure. By releasing tension or restrictions in the connective tissue (fascia) between the skull (cranium) and sacrum (triangular shaped bone at the base of spine), the craniosacral system can restore fluid balance.
