What is CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY?

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, light-touch modality that works with the whole body, supporting the central nervous system, by releasing tension and promoting relaxation.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, light-touch modality that addresses the whole body, supporting the central nervous system, by releasing tension and promoting relaxation.

Stress and strain are absorbed by the body and over time can affect the tissues, and potentially the membranes of the craniosacral system.

By releasing subtle restrictions in the connective tissue (fascia) surrounding organs, muscles, and bones, the craniosacral system can restore fluid balance.

Such releases can allow the body to relax and make self-corrections, thus reduce pain, stress, and promote the healing process.

CranioSacral Therapy mouthwork can be beneficial in treating previous injuries to the head, face, neck or releasing tension from dental or orthodontic experiences.

SomatoEmotional Release techniques may be incorporated into sessions based on the individual needs of the client and the body's presentation during each session.

Stress and strain are absorbed by the body and over time can affect the tissues, and potentially the membranes of the craniosacral system.

Cerebrospinal fluid protects and cushions the brain (and spinal cord) from injury, assists with delivering nutrients and removing waste/toxins, and maintains chemical balance and intracranial pressure.

By releasing tension or restrictions in the connective tissue (fascia) between the skull (cranium) and sacrum (triangular shaped bone at the base of spine), the craniosacral system can restore fluid balance.

Such releases can allow the body to relax and make self-corrections, thus reduce pain, stress, and promote self-healing.

CranioSacral Therapy techniques may include mouthwork. Typically, clients looking to relieve pain, tightness, or restricted movement in the jaw or Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ). Mouthwork can be beneficial in treating past injuries to the head, face, and neck, or negative dental or orthodontic experiences.
SomatoEmotional Release techniques may be incorporated into sessions as needed.
